Tampa Shuts Out Lions For SSC Win

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's soccer team defeated their Sunshine State Conference opponent Saint Leo University on Wednesday night.

1st Half | Both teams started off the game at a steady pace. In the 20th minute, forward Elena Barr, assisted by Moeko Morse, kicked in the first goal of the night. || UT, 1-0 

2nd Half | In the 86th minute, forward Jackie Morris secured the Spartans lead when she scored her first goal of the season. Morris was Assisted by Mia Brantley. || UT, 2-0

Inside the Stats:

  • The Spartans extend their win streak to two straight against Saint Leo.
  • Megan Bromwell started in goal for the Spartans.
  • Lovisa Camel made her first appearance of the season and came away with two saves in just over 53 minutes of play.
  • Elena Barr scored her third goal of the season
