Heather Glenday Takes Home SSC Women’s Swimming Award

ORLANDO, Fla. - In the first season of Sunshine State Conference swimming, The University of Tampa's Heather Glenday was the recipient of the SSC Female Swimmer of the Week Award. Florida Southern's Thomas Nguyen was the winner of the male award.

Glenday, a freshman from Babylon, N.Y., posted a pair of wins in the Spartans' 139-108 win over Florida Southern. Glenday won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:57.85. She also notched a first-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle, recording a time of 10:44.62.
