Tampa’s Catherine Parker Earns SSC Swimming Accolade

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa junior Catherine Parker has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week presented by VALIC.

Parker (Boca Raton, Fla.) led the No. 6 Spartans to a 177-85 win over Saint Leo. Parker finished first in the 200-yard butterfly, clocking a time of 2:09.26, which ranks second among SSC swimmers this season. She was also the top finisher in the 100-yard butterfly. Her mark of 59.36 is the third-fastest in the league to date.
