Kristine Kassl Picks Up Women’s Swimming Weekly Award
ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa senior Kristine Kassl has been named Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week presented by VALIC.
Kassl (Darien, Ill.) clocked an NCAA "B" standard time of 5:08.99 in winning the 500 freestyle in the Spartans' 122-56 win over Florida Tech. Her mark was the fourth fastest among SSC swimmers this season. She also joined the 200 medley relay team for a winning time of 1:52.92 versus the Panthers. In a 126-79 victory over Nova Southeastern, she swam as part of the 400 freestyle relay team that took first with a time of 3:36.75.
