Both Swimming Teams Ranked in Top 15
RICHMOND, Va. - Both University of Tampa swimming teams appear in the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll. The organization has released its 2021-22 Division II November Swimming & Diving Poll today.
UT's women remain 12th in the nation, while the men are 14th nationally.
The University of Indianapolis men and women are both first in the polls, keeping their preseason position. On the men's side, fellow Sunshine State Conference opponents Florida Southern (8), Nova Southeastern (11), Florida Tech (22), and Saint Leo (25) are also ranked. Women's opponents in the top-25 include Nova Southeastern (5), Lynn (14), Florida Southern (16), Saint Leo (17), and Rollins (18).
In women's action, UT is undefeated with victories over St. Thomas (182-73), Rollins (145-60), and Florida Southern (190-72). The Spartan men have wins over St. Thomas (169-90) and Rollins (155-51) and a loss to then-No. 10 Florida Southern (181-81).
Tampa visits Florida Tech tomorrow, November 12. Action will begin at 2 p.m in Melbourne.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media. The committee includes six representatives from division II institutions and two media members. The remaining polls are scheduled for release on December 9, January 19, and February 9 and March 4. These dates are subject to change.
