TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa tennis team ran its winning streak to three matches with a 6-3 win over West Virginia State University. The Spartans are now 8-10 while WVSU falls to 1-3.
In doubles, Tampa began the match with a pair of victories as the number two team of Caitlin Scudder and Emily Kennedy were victorious. The three team of Ally Wooten and Lindsey Garyn also won.
Kourtney Stark won from the number two singles spot as UT all-time singles victory leader Scudder added another win at number four. Kennedy and Wooten also turned in victories from the five and six spots respectively.
The Spartans return to action on Wednesday as it plays host to Sunshine State Conference rival Florida Southern College at 3 p.m.
