Rain Stymies Quarterfinals of Florida Blue SSC Tennis Championships

LAKELAND, Fla. - Rain forced the postponement of all four women's quarterfinal matches on Thursday at the 2012 Florida Blue SSC Tennis Championships, including the match between the University of Tampa and No. 2 Barry University.

The Buccaneers currently hold a 3-0 lead over the Spartans with doubles play complete.

Play will resume at 8 a.m., on Friday morning with women's quarterfinals, as well as semifinals and back draw matches at the Beerman Tennis Center and on the campus of Florida Southern College.

An updated schedule of matches, which reflects changes forced by Thursday's rain, appears on the Tennis Championship Central page of the SSC website at sunshinestateconference.com.
