Tampa Earns Preseason No. 22 Ranking
SKILLMAN, N.J. - Following another stellar fall, the University of Tampa tennis team will enter the 2014 regular season as the No. 22-ranked team in NCAA Division II, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Tampa is one of eight teams from the powerful Sunshine State Conference rankings as six league schools appear in the top 20. Barry is the top SSC school at No. 3, while Lynn (6), Saint Leo (8) and Rollins (9) are each in the top 10.
Singles player Meg Wladimirski also earned a national ranking as the junior sits at No. 39. Wladimirski is also part of a nationally-ranked doubles team as she and her partner, Lauren Hewett, are at No. 22 nationally.
