SSC Announces Allison Murphy as Sprinter of the Week

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa's Allison Murphy has received Sunshine State Conference Sprinter of the Week honors, as announced Monday by the SSC office and presented by Pollo Campero.

Murphy, a senior from Naugatuck, Conn., improved her national ranking in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.43 at the UCF Knights Invitational and posted a sub-15-second mark in the 100-meter hurdles of 14.97. This is her second weekly award of the season and third of her career.

Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of March 23 - 29, 2026. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
