Spartans Move Up a Spot in Top 25 Poll
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Tampa volleyball team moved up one spot to fourth in the current AVCA Division II Coaches Poll, moving up from fifth in last week's release.
The Spartans are coming off a pair of Sunshine State Conference triumphs with wins on the road at Rollins and Florida Tech. Tampa has now won five consecutive matches, all in the SSC. UT is now 14-1 and 5-1 in league play.
While being ranked in 167 consecutive polls, the Spartans have now been represented in the national top 10 for 46 straight weeks.
UT has a pair of matches on its schedule for this week, beginning with a Wednesday night showdown at Eckerd. The match will start at 7 p.m. Tampa then hosts Lynn on Sunday at 2 p.m.
