Spartans Maintain National Top 10 Ranking
LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Tampa volleyball team holds a number-nine national ranking in the newest AVCA Division II Coaches Poll, after being fifth in last week's release.
The Spartans are now 22-4 on the season and 9-3 in Sunshine State Conference play. Last week, Tampa defeated Flagler before dropping matches on the road to Barry and Nova Southeastern.
While being ranked in 171 consecutive polls, the Spartans have now been represented in the national top 10 for 50 straight weeks, marking the longest current streak in NCAA II.
Tampa hosts a pair of matches this weekend, beginning with a Friday night match versus Rollins at 7 p.m. UT then hosts Florida Tech on Saturday at 4 p.m., on Senior Day.
