UT Has Strong Showing At The Sunshine State Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championships

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The current SSC Champion University of Tampa volleyball team took part in the second annual Sunshine State Collegiate Beach Volleyball Championships this past Saturday. The Spartans, who won the inaugural tournament last year, finished second overall and placed several teams in the individual divisions.

The tournament included all nine teams in the Sunshine State Conference and was made up of 41 pairs that participated. The event was held at Club V in Clearwater.

Battling windy conditions, the team of Melissa Vanderhall and Kaleigh Cunningham took second place in the Gold Division and the team of Gabriela Saade and Camila Saade finished third. Camille Hanks and Meghan Sherman also earned a spot in the Gold Division and placed fifth.
