HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Set: A setup from Kayla Dondero to Nathaly Perez would get things going for the Spartans. The team would never find itself trailing or even tied in the first set, despite a close set. Cal State would aim to keep it close, but a kill by sophomore Connor Rahn would extend Tampa's lead to 14-10. The lead for UTampa would not be more than five. Later on, Rahn would record another kill to end the set and take a 1-0 lead. | Score: 25-22 Tampa
Second Set: Tess Schrenger started off the scoring in the second set. The Spartans would score six of the game's next seven points to gain momentum and gain a sizeable lead. The Spartans would go on a few more runs, scoring several points in a row, and would cap off the set with a 25-15 advantage. | Score 25-14 Tampa
