Williams, Woznicki Lead Spartans to National Academic Honors
NEW ORLEANS, La. - University of Tampa track runners Paige Williams and Laura Woznicki were named Academic All-Americans as The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams finished first in NCAA II in its academic rankings.
With a 3.670 women's GPA, UT outpaced Minnesota State-Mankato and Seattle Pacific to claim the top honor. Spartan runners Paige Williams and Laura Woznicki led UT as they were named to the 2008 USTFCCCA Division II Women's All-Academic Track and Field Team.
Tampa's men also finished first in the nation with a 3.420 mark. Seattle Pacific and Bentley followed UT to comprise the top three.
