Brayden Woodburn Reaches 200 Career Hits as No. 4 Tampa Rallies Past Barry
TAMPA, Fla. — The No. 4 University of Tampa baseball team earned a 4–3 victory over Barry University on Thursday night at Tampa Baseball Field to open the final regular season series of the year.
With the win, the Spartans improved to 39–8 overall and 25–3 in Sunshine State Conference play.
The night also featured a milestone moment for Brayden Woodburn, who recorded the 200th hit of his Tampa career, becoming the 21st Spartan in program history to reach the milestone.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tampa struck first in the opening inning when Jhoander Irigoyen doubled to left center to drive in Brayden Woodburn for a 1–0 lead.
Barry answered with a three-run second inning, using an RBI double from Aidan Heffner and a two-run single from Dyson Joseph to move in front 3–1.
The Spartans immediately responded in the bottom half. Walker Vanecek opened the inning with a double before Luke Fikar delivered an RBI single to cut the deficit to 3–2.
Tampa tied the game in the fifth inning when Woodburn launched a solo home run to left center.
An inning later, Jack Martinez tripled into right-center and later scored on an RBI single from Jordan Evans, giving Tampa the go-ahead run and eventual 4–3 victory.
ON THE MOUND
Robert Satin started for the Spartans, striking out six across 5.0 innings while allowing three runs.
Tobin Moran was dominant in relief, tossing 3.0 scoreless innings with six strikeouts to earn the victory and improve to 2–0.
Luke Fikar closed the door in the ninth, striking out all three batters he faced to earn his sixth save of the season.
