No. 1 Spartans Spear Sailfish in Regular Season Finale

TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's lacrosse team closed out their title-defending 2025 regular season with a commanding 23–9 victory on the road at Palm Beach Atlantic. The Spartans finish the regular season at 15–1 overall, heading into the postseason as a top contender.

How It Happened

• Mary Kate Person opened the scoring as Tampa netted eight first-quarter goals.
• Peyton Howell recorded a hat trick in the first 10 minutes and went on to score nine goals in the game.
• By the end of the first quarter, five different Spartans had scored, and Tampa led 8–4.
• Kaylee VanVladricken and Person completed their first-half hat tricks during the second quarter.
• Tampa headed into their last regular-season halftime with a 15-6 lead
• Earning her first career assist, Jill Cobaugh helped set up the Spartans' first of two woman-up goals in the third quarter.
• The Spartans dominated the third, scoring five of the six goals and extending their lead to 20–7.
