USILA Releases Academic All-Americans, Tampa Places Five on List

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -The University of Tampa men's lacrosse team continued its tradition of excellence in the classroom as five Spartans, Jake Demert, Grant Green, Tommy Ortega, Conley Stone, and MP Thomas, were named 2026 USILA Division II Scholar All-Americans, as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA).

The prestigious honor recognizes student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through outstanding achievements both academically and athletically. To be eligible, nominees must be seniors with at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, be significant contributors to their team's success, and demonstrate exemplary character and leadership.

Tampa's five selections tied for one of the highest totals in Division II this season and highlighted the program's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who excel on the field, in the classroom, and within the community.

The Spartans' five Scholar All-Americans are the program's most in a single season since the award's inception and continue a recent trend of academic excellence under the program. Tampa has now produced 16 USILA Scholar All-Americans since 2016, including:
